The Project Kala Branding and Crowdfunding Project

Location Manchester

The Objective  The initial project; to create an elegant brand identity for Kala Bistro, to be multi digital and used across a range of materials.
The Kala project grew due to -part way in to the construction, Gary realised he ‘f**ked up’ the finances and didn’t have the funds to complete the internal renovation and build. Which led to us producing a last minute Kickstarter campaign video to – to generate funds of 100k in a record breaking 100 hours.

The Beginning The branding was to be sophisticated, chic & fresh, with a classic colour palette; black, gold, copper.

For the crowdfunding campaign; we wanted to capture the predicament the team were under with regards to the build and funding. Also capturing the vision they have for the new restaurant.

The Output  Being the slickest, high end brand for Elite Bistros, the inspiration for Kala branding was clean and classic; the final product was simple and stylish.
The filming and editing for the Kickstarter video was fast! This was THE campaign to raise 100k. Natural Selection Design supported the video production element of the campaign. This included creative direction, strategy, graphic design, video production.
