The Man Behind the Curtain, Leeds

The Objective 
Our brief, to create a slick perfume style advert for The Man Behind The Curtain, that leaves viewers intrigued.

The Beginning 
Michael O’Hare, the creator of The Man Behind the Curtain, approached us to create a brand video.  NSD, is made up of a small team of creatives, insanely passionate about the food industry.  Landing this project was huge for us, we had to create a video that put viewers on the edge of their seat, and able to feel the chic  and stylish monochrome settings.

The Output 
Our first and lasting impression was this restaurant is completely out there and monochromatic, so we shot the video in black and white.  Over the two days we were on shoot, we were given full access to the kitchen and front of house.  Moving between the kitchen and front of house gave us a clear vision of the entire concept. ‘Behind the curtain’ the standards are maintained, slick, chic and a well oiled operation.   From start to finish, the style is sleek, we have taken viewers on an experience that enables them to sense and feel the flavours and aesthetics at MBTC.

During the first week of the video going live it had 200,000 views, and amazing feedback from industry peers.  Bigger than we could have imagined.
