14 Jul Brand Refresh for NR&B Launches at Annual Trade Exhibition
We visit NRB to check out how our brand refresh looks in situ
The NSD creatives hit the Northern Restaurant & Bar exhibition on the 18th & 19th March. This wasn’t a trip to any expo event; NR&B has been a major client of ours over the past 8 months. Our entire team had a hand in the complete brand refresh, including; videography, design, photography and editing.
When carrying out the brand refresh; it was important for us to nail the balance between food and beverage; these are the two great loves for NR&B and we needed to reflect this in the end product. The project was to be completed and launched ahead of the exhibition. This is the biggest event of its kind in the whole of the North so we needed to nail this project. The attendee list was massive, attracting; leading operators, suppliers and industry figures. The two day event was a who’s – who of the food and beverage scene.
With early trains booked from Liverpool, our team met bright and early for a full English and several strong coffees (would of been rude not to) before making the journey over to Manchester for the exhibition opening day at Manchester Central.
During the creative work on the project, as a team, we decided to fuse together food and drink imagery – the two great loves for NR&B. Our location for the photoshoot didn’t quite go to plan; with some rearranging, the images were taken in our studio…using whatever we had to achieve the perfect shot; including soil from outside the studio to get that perfect carrot image.
On entering the venue; we were beaming; seeing our work blown up in print rather than on our computer screens was special. The branding looked mega. There was visuals of our work all over; ceiling hangings, live demo stands, banners, digital screens and programmes. A proud moment for the team!
Once we had taken in our work, and taken some shots of the space we were ready to get stuck in to networking, trying some products and catching up with some of our clients; old and new. The venue was buzzing from the get go, a sea of faces we are currently working with and due to work with soon.
During the day we bumped in to Clare from NR&B, who shared “We’ve had so many compliments already about the brand refresh. Last years graphics were great, but in comparison this is so much more visual and looks better.”
